I suppose, but that totally negates the benefit of having a doggy door. I'd basically have to close the door so they could only go when I let them out.

If I do that for a while, is there any expectation that they'd learn -- because the belly band doesn't prevent them from peeing, it just prevents it from getting on our stuff, right? These are young dogs (3-4 years) -- the idea that this is just going to be the way it is for eternity is unacceptable to me.
I'm at my wit's end. I caught my Boston, in the act, peeing on the curtains in my bathroom while I was taking a shower. Wow did he look guilty when I called his name. That's the thing that's soooooo frustrating -- when I call them out on it, they immediately know they've done something wrong, which suggests to me that they know they shouldn't do it in the first place. I don't even have to catch them in the act -- I can just stand next to whatever item they've peed upon and ask, "OK, who peed on the ottoman?," and sure enough, one of them will sulk away or hide.
