I feed my Yorkies 1/8 cup Canidae morning and evening plus a tsp. of yogurt and a tsp. of applesauce or mushed green beans. I used to feed more but I woke up when one of my Yorkies had to have LP surgery and the vet said she was too fat. Her other knee has stabilized since she lost weight. |
That is exactly what my vet said but they always seem hungry to me, they all have their own little bowls and I fill them up in the morning before I go to work, when I get out of work around 5:30 I fill their bowls again and they eat every last kibble then around 9 you see them going to their bowls again to see if there is something to eat and it looks to me like they are hungry, even though I do give them treats throughout the day, one thing though I might add my baby's play all day long once I get home we are outside and the balls come out and you have to see my baby's run after that ball and we don't just play for 1 hr they can keep going and going, I think they burn off alot of the calories they take in throughout the day that by 9 at night they are hungry again. I will try to ignore the fact that they are at their bowls looking for more food but I just can never tell if my babies are full or not.
