Don't feel bad sweetie. I once kicked Gus in the pool and felt so bad about it. He got underfoot when I was steping in. I thought I really hurt him because I felt him roll and hit the first step. But he was just fine. I can laugh about it becasue if the way he looked trying to get to me and was giving me kisses as if he was thinking ,,,,,, thanks for saving me mom! When I was the reason he was in there in the frist place. Poor Gus! He doesn't care for the pool unless his in my arms whereas before he loved it. I guess I can look at it this way,,,,,,, I don't have to worry about him jumping in and drowning, because he stays clear of the pool and will only get close if I'm right there at the edge calling him. Accidents will happen. Don't feel bad.
