honey - the best thing I can say is try to brush him when you're with him ..they can get like that so fast it amazes me ...Does he go outside alot ? I used to use Johnsons No More Tangles for Chanel when she was little and brush her WHILE she was wet to get knots out though it's not advised to do on wet hair.

The other thing is maybe get him a puppy cut and make it easy on you and his babysitter...funny saying that...but it would really cut down on grooming time and they love being short haired too. I keep thinking of cutting Chanels hair cause I just can't keep up lately so I know how you are feeling.

for the curly kind of hair - I use Plush Puppy Reviva coat - that makes their hair lay flatter too.

The thing I do with Chanels thick hair too is use a dematting comb to thin it out - it really really helps but she has lots of hair ...after I get out the fluff hair it lays much flatter. Those dematting combs look like little rakes and you have to be really careful and not touch the skin with it.

Chanel loves me thinning her hair - she sits like a happy little monkey getting a back scratch from mom when I do it.
