My pups at 7wks. old were mounting. This isn't odd behavior for dogs to hump so young. You often hear even as soon as they learn how to play and interact with littermates, they start to hump them as well.
Now at 3months my pup I kept hasn't shown any interest in humping, but at two months old the pup my friend kept made friends with ''Mr.Teddy''
