Question Any doctors or nurses or anyone who knows anything about medication?

Quick question. I have been taking amoxicilian (sp?) since last Thursday for a sinus infection. I realized last night that it is really affecting me. It makes my heart do a weird thing... i think it is beating irregularly.i have to readjust or cough to make it stop... but only for the hour or so after i take it and at night it is causing me to not sleep. My sinus infection pain has gone away and i'm considering stopping taking the medication. As a child i was allergic to this medication... it caused me to be very hyper and overactive and alert. Since taking it as a child... i hadn't been sick often enough to know if it bothers me and casually mentioned it to my doctor but since the side effects weren't life threatening... we thought we'd give it a shot. Do you think it is ok to just stop taking it now that i'm feeling better or should i make an appointment with my doctor? (i won't be able to get in for a few days if i make an appoinement... is it ok to not take it until i see her?)

Thanks!
Marci
