Is your Yorkie crate trained? If not, I would start a whole training routine on this. If your pup were put in the crate at night, with a towel or light sheet over the crate, he would be quiet and comfortable.
Also, I would recommend an X-pen so that the pup could have freedom to play but not the freedom to roam around a strange room and chew things, especially if you or your daughter is not home or nearby to supervise.
