Good luck with your new Yorkie. When mine was new he did the same thing you are describing. In fact, my husband called him a "pull toy" because he would not move forward unless dragged. Of course, we use a harness and we would never drag him on the sidewalk or outside.

The advice here from the members is excellent. Using the attached leash around the house method really works, but remember to always supervise this activity.

When the pup has all his shots you should enroll in puppy class. You will find this great fun and there will be an instructor there who can really help with walking.
