This can happen so quickly. It happened to my step-daughter's yorkie while just taking a bathroom break & she and her bf were standing right there. A big neighbor's dog came out of nowhere.....they didn't see him until he was right on the poor baby. They were much older than your 13 yr old daughter. Pls tell her not to blame herself. Luckily, he did survive, but it was a traumatic thing to happen. He was rushed to emergency surgery in an out of town environment. It was his body that was ripped. Our babies are so small & are prey to these other vicious dogs. I am so scared to even walk mine on a leash in the neighborhood or any where because of all these sad sad stories. Sending prayers to you & yr family on the loss of precious Peanut.
