You need to keep him confined when you can't watch him. An exercise pen with his bed at one end and a potty pad at the other is a good set up. Please don't get angry with him. It just confuses him. Just watch him carefully and put him on his pad if he gives the slightest indication he may go. Be patient and consistent. He will get it. When they don't it is often our fault.
