It's a devestating feeling to know the truth, but do not beat yourself up. You didn't know and pet stores are EXPERTS at lying and hiding the truth about where pet store puppies come from.
Now that you know you can educate others about the horrible truth of pet stores and puppy mills and help them so they don't find out the same way you did about where their puppy really came from and so that less people support this industry.
Really though, do NOT feel bad at all. Many of us have been there before we knew and we all just grow and learn from it.

Well said

I was also really, really stupid & did not do my research when I bought Bear. I'm almost 100% sure that I got him from a bad breeder who doesn't care about the well-being of her dogs & puppies. Ever since I realized this, I have become a strong advocate to get rid of puppy mills. Again, do not feel bad. Many of us have been there & did not know the truth about puppies sold at pet shops & where they come from. Now you can eduate people & hopefully stop them from buying puppies from a backyard breeder or from a pet shop. (((HUGS)))
