Omg you were MISINFORMED!

If anyone, even a vet tells you to insert your fingers INSIDE of a dogs anus to empty the anal glands, THEY ARE WRONG!!!
You do not need to do that to empty the glands. It is all done externally, and although unpleasant, it takes just a few seconds and is easy to do once you know how.
Ask a vet or your groomer how it is done. This must be done on a regular basis on small dogs to prevent an anal gland impaction.
