I understand the University of Tennessee can perform the procedure for around $1,800.

My dog did go in for exploratory surgery, but unfortunately, he did not have a repairable shunt. He has many, many tiny shunts throughout, but he is managed through diet, supplements, and meds, and is doing incredibly well. The surgery took place about 3 yrs ago.
