Personally, I don't believe in giving treats when they are that young, I know human babies are much more likely to develop allergies when a new food is introduced too soon. It's good to free feed the first 6 months of life, and this means the dog will only eat when hungry. Dogs go through growth spurts and will eat more at some times than other times. I'm a little surprised you give him chicken bones for treats, are you referring to raw bones? Isn't there some age limit for this? Sounds like your puppy knows what best for him, but remember most treats have lots of fats and sugar, neither really good for your dog.
