I went back and read you original post and I am so sorry Charlie seems
to have arthritis. I have a girlfriend with a springer spaniel who had
arthritis in his hip, he was older the doctor gave him Glucosimine and Chrondin
(s) and he had relief for a couple of years until he passed of something else.
It rebuilds the tissue around the arthritis I believe. People take it also.
I was taking it for awhile for mine at times and it really did help.
I would try anything first before surgery. If that dosen't work then
surgery it should be. I would not want a young puppy on pain meds
