Yes, daily probiotics will help their gas and tummy issues immensely. Miko gets probiotics everyday as well. He takes Azodyl which is typically given to dogs with kidney issues, but it's essentially just a combo of probiotics along with psyllium husk for fiber.
There are many great products out there as far as probiotics go. I will try to get you the names of a few.
Plain yogurt is okay, but I don't think giving a tsp or so is going to be enough probiotics. A probiotic product will be better suited for them.
