Thanks for getting back to me. That is what I have been doing. Putting him on and moving the others around. They all have full lil bellies and are on the teat all day it seems if not trying to get back on one! Oh yes Skittles is eating fine. She got up and went potty for the 1st time yesterday, so I was happy. I'll be taking everyone to the vet tomorrow. I hope Skittles lets me give her a bath, whew! she stinks!

Usually when I have a smaller puppy I will just get him to latch and I move the other pups up by the momma head or to other nipples and I will just sit there until he has nursed. It is also important to get up during the night to make sure he is nursing. Weak pups can go down hill really fast during the night if they miss a meal.

Panting is very common for nursing mommas. Just make sure she is not running any temperature. Is momma eating well?
