I didn't leave it on for 10 minutes either - I lathered them up (except for their faces) and then rinsed..I watched the water VERY VERY CAREFULLY and used my turbo-hose to rinse them - and boom - saw this tiny fleck in the water and sure enough - DEAD FLEA....
I still can't believe I've seen NO sign of fleas till that bath - I still haven't seen one and I REALLY do look. Under their chins - under their arms - bellies - nothing. But they are THERE LURKING like the nasty bloodsucking evil creatures they are
so....it takes frontline up to 18 hours to work and I already see a result from that - but now I need to treat my apt and especially my bed. I'm washing their little beds in hot water this weekend and solve this before it gets out of hand. Then I'm using the medicated shampoo my friend gave me to help their skin.
I HATE HATE HATE fleas and have never had them on my girls before
THE NERVE of these disgusting creatures getting on our pets ! | Can you explain the Dawn Diswashing liquid more??? What does it do? Run them out of your Yorkies fur??
I wanted you to know last year we had flea problems bad here with Teddy, Tiffanie and Galahad...I used the Frontline Plus and I have to say it did good buttttttt I did notice that Teddys coat was thining on his head now that I look back a photos taken of him last Summer. Since not using the Frontline since the end of last Summer his coat is back to being thick again on his head. I really think it was the frontline that did this to him, yes we had Fleas before but his coat never thinned before with fleas until I used the Fronline. But I feel it was the Frontline...Just my OPO tho. It did get rid of the fleas tho.
Hubby got some "Spectacide Triazicide Once and Done Insect Killer (Kills insect above and below ground)" And started using it on our lawns (Front and back yards) and the Flea problem was put to a DEAD STOP....We haven't had a FLEA one since he started using this on our yards.
I know some of you may come and say NO, it's not safe well no it isn't but IF you DO it as the LABEL says then it is safe for all humans and pets...
This is how we do it and we have 5 Yorkies, 4 daughters and 1 granddaughter...and NONE of them have gotten sick from doing it the way we do it.
Hubby mows the yard 1st, then applies it with a spreader just before a good soaking rain, in the Back Yard 1st...We DO NOT step foot in our Back Yard for a WEEK. We all go in the front yard to play and visit and if I take my Yorkies outside they all go in the front yard.
The he will wait until another rain and do the front yard...We once again DO NOT step foot in the front yard for a WEEK. We all go to the back yard.
If it is during the Summer as it was late last Summer when we 1st started using it...Then we mow, apply, water the yard (Hubby does) He has special shoes for this and they don't come any where around us or our Yorkies. He puts them in our shed along with the lawn items.
This is what the bag says:
"Keep Children and Pets off treated area until product has been watered in and lawn is dry."
He already put a treatment on our yards the 1st of April just to make sure we didn't get the fleas started again. I just ask him when he would put it on again he said every few months. I ask about Winter he said well if we get a warm Winter then I'll do it then too...
I love this product. We don't have a flea problem at all. Just thought I would share this with you all. And of course this is me & my OPO of these products Lee |
