This morning I watched a Memorial Day Tribute to all our military that I had recorded last night. It was very moving.
My biological father served in WWII and he landed on the beach at Normandy. I found out when I was 18 that he later had committed suicide after getting out of the military. My father that adopted me at age 5 was in the Navy for 22 years, he died at age 57 from cancer.
I want to give thanks to all those who served and gave their lives so we can have the freedoms we enjoy today. I want to thank all of those soldiers that serve today during this time of a different type of war. I also want to thank the wives of those solders also because I know how hard it is on them. My prayers go out to all on this Memorial Day. My God bless and protect all of you. |
