I can only speak for myself and how I feel and the way I am. With me, when I think there's something wrong with one of my furkids or skin kids and it's serious, I don't come here and ask questions first, I get to the doc or vet ASAP and then come back here and talk about it. Granted, I did post here a few days ago asking for help for my sister when Coco was vomiting and she told me he had eaten a plant but wasn't sure if he swollowed it, but my FIRST ADVICE to her was, "get Coco to the vet NOW!" I do get irritated at times when I read some things on here where something is wrong with a furkid, I'm reading through it thinking to myself, go to the vet NOW!!! But then I also have to realize as others have said, this could be a first time furkid owner and they may not really know if it's serious, or perhaps they don't have the funds right now to take their furbaby in and have the vet check them and are perhaps reaching out for whatever help any of us can give them. I know many of us have such deep love and compassion for our furkids and it's easy to get irritated when someone comes on asking for help and we're the ones on the other end thinking, get to the vet NOW, but lets not forget people, we've never walked in these other peoples shoes personally, they may have other things going on like perhaps their vehicle could be down and they're embarrassed to say that, maybe we're their only means of any kind of help they can get. If people post asking for help or emergency help and you know the answer, great, help, if you don't know the answer, that's fine to, but I know I sure wouldn't wanna make anyone feel like they couldn't come here and post and ask for help no matter how big or little the problem is. I think it's our duty to educate people about the proper care of all furbabies and help however we're able. If that simply means saying, this is serious, get to the vet NOW if you're able, then so be it, we've helped educate one more person and perhaps saved a furkids life. A person could be new to all this and what is an emergency to one may not be to another....
