I am so very sorry for your loss....I went through the same thing here years ago, My x and I had a boxer who got the taste of blood and torn apart the neck of my neighbors dog (she was in her early 70's) needless to say I was extremely fearful for my children's lives...so Bingo was confined to a chainlink area behind our garage....Even our vet said that we needed to have this dog put down as he was extremly vicious. Well my husband (at the time) would have not have this happen and so the poor dog ended up living the remainder of his days locked up in a chain linked area (it was about 6 ft x 6 ft till he pass away.
