yes I find that not only weird but a little messed up. as an adult, I really dont care if you ditch me, but when it comes to my children I feel the pain when they are "ditched" or left out. I can assume your daughter was excited about having her friend join you guys and was disappointed when she bailed to hang out with someone else. I could be wrong, but my daughter would have reacted that way and in turn I would feel very bad. I hope your daughter wasn't too upset, Im sure she enjoyed the movies with mom
