I do the opposite!!! I leave things switched on and don't think about until after I've left the house!
Once I had to call the fire station because I came home one day after being out for over 8 hours and realized I'd left the deep fat fryer on!!!
They sent a fire engine out and half a dozen fireman to carry it outside!!! I felt like a right idiot!!!
