It sounds like you will be having your hands full every heat cycle. I go though the same thing. You will just have to keep them separated. Mine pace, bark, whine and carry on the whole 3 weeks. It is not good to let him stay with her when she is in heat, he will just wear himself out. Ideally, you should have them in separate rooms so he won't get as frustrated. If you are planning to use him for breeding then you better get used to it. Also, the males will start marking a lot as they get older.
