She's not interested in pursuing them legally. She knows that she was wrong by not just setting a price and sticking to it. She thought they would do the fair thing, but apparently they didn't care. I think what they did was wrong also, but she should not have let that happen. She should have looked at the check right away and asked if they forgot a zero!
I know what you mean about people thinking we pay too much for our dogs. I never bother to tell anyone how much I paid for mine. I just say "they are worth far more to me than money".
