Our Lab is so gentle with Gracie! She is about 75 lbs. versus Gracie's 1 1/2 lbs.! Tilda plays with her, and I've never seen her get rough. It's like she knows that Gracie is tiny and fragile (although Grace thinks she's as big as Tilda is!) and she is very careful.
