ahhh what a little darling! He is so cute! HE's come a long way, and seems to be adjusting each day. I agree with what has been said. It takes time and lot's of loving. Your little guy will come around.
My Suzi was very timid the first night . What has helped her so much was that I sit on the floor and let her decide on her own terms to approach me and play . I make no suddeb moves to pick her up. SHE now comes when her name is called, licks my face all over, and plays with her toys. However, she likes me to play too.
I do find it very helpful to get down on her own level and play. I do not force her or anything.
I have had her less then two weeks. She is now way attatched to me. The next step is to socialize her, and of course the potty training is an issue.
Suzi prefers to sleep in my room next to me. I can't have her in my bed because she can't get down safely to eat or go potty. The bed is too high . But, she is right there close .
I was lucky though, she was not much of a cryer . But she did a little. Now all she does is follow me, and wants to always play.

Your pup is doing very well. He will keep making progress too.
