Magic always wears a band in her topknot, her hair is so long that she can't see at all if we leave it down. I just change the band every couple of days but she nevers pulls it out on her own so we don't have to worry about her eating it or anything. But while am I at work during the day, she still has a band in her hair. I would think that as long as they are leaving it alone than you should be fine, but if they are still pulling it out (like they do at first) I would take it out before you leave b/c you would hate for them to swallow it!!
