I started Winston inside at first with a pee pad in ONE desgnated area with a newspaper on top of the pad because he was paper trained at the breeders. As soon as he started sniffing around we would take him to his "spot" and say 'go pee' and as soon as he would go we would give him tons of praise and a treat. To get him started outside we waited until his first morning pee (when he had to go the most) and than he would have no choice but to pee outside and again we would give him a treat and lots of praise.
But keep in mind we never ever move or take away his inside pee spot.
So now he knows that when we're outside he can go and when he's inside he has his pee pad. We've only had him 2 weeks and he barely any accidents. He's been accident free for 3 full days now and we are very proud of him!!
