AW Ralphie! Dogs can tell when you are going away for awhile I think. When my shih tzu was still with us he just KNEW something was going on when my brother showed up (he comes by every week but this time my doggy was acting different) right before we were leaving for India. He displayed most of the same symptoms as ralphie and my brother said his tail didnt go up for a whole week. Im no expert but i think its separation anxiety
