I have done my own Yorkies. I hold them by the front and feed them a treat and my husband inserted the chip...none have made any notice of it...fast and simple. I have had the vet also do it..went okay...BUT with no treat to distract them, a few yelped, I will take a tasty treat if I let the vet do it again.

Check out the Humane Society...ours charges $5 !!! AND $5 for a rabies...excellent services here in Florida.
