I can definately understand not wanting to wait but then again, it is possible that they still have maternal antibodies before about nine or ten weeks and all the shot would do is attack the maternal antibodies, then the vaccine itself would be ineffective also. Then they would be totally unprotected. It's a hard call though because I don't think anyone is exactly sure when all the maternal antibodies are gone... I guess nine weeks is fair to vaccinate but I will say Ellie's bile acids were high and then went back down to normal. She was vaccinated with distemper only and I stopped the Denosyl. Forty-five days later her bile acids were rechecked and they were 106 post, so I just wouldn't want to see someone waste money on a BAT if a vaccine could interfere. I thought waiting two or three weeks should be fine but now I don't know...
