We have an 85 lb. Lab and our 6 lb. Yorkie. Every time I let Jackson around my Lab, who is a gentle giant and 11 yrs. old, he wants to play. He stands on his tippy toes to reach his face and my Lab seems to tolerate him, except then he wants to really play and he takes one of his massive paws and swats him. I have quick reflexes and have averted many a disaster. But I have seen photos of Labs and Yorkies napping together and such, and I can't even let mine in the same room on the floor for more than 10 seconds. My yorkie runs around our bathroom, which is 400 sq. feet- so it's plenty big,but that is the only room he is allowed to run around freely for his own safety! My lab is allowed anywhere, except that bathroom. Any advice?
