Congratulations on your new litter. How many puppies did she have? It is common for the momma to not eat the first 24 hours after having puppies especially if she ate a lot of afterbirths. Here is a link to some recipes for whelping pudding:

Many breeders give this to their mommas to increase milk production. I would not give her real milk. Continue to give her the dry puppy food and add the cottage cheese. You can also add a little boiled chicken. I add Pedigree Lamb and Rice puppy food to my mommas dry food. You may have to hand feed her for a day or so. It is important that she eats 3 or 4 meals a day and she should have dry food available at all time. Please keep us posted on how she is doing.
