First of all congratulations on your new baby! It is so sad that he never even had a name and I know he must be loving all of the attention and love. Have to ask.....does he have a name now??
I too wouldn't worry about it at all and would just give them some time. If they aren't showing any signs of aggression, Rickles probaby just needs a little time to get used to having an energetic puppy around. Of course, dogs and puppies always seem drawn to the ones who don't care for them much almost as if they want to win them over. Once this happens I bet the puppy will start playing with Gleason and he will appreciate having a younger playmate.
