Quick update, we have 6 healthy little babies. We did go to the E.R. Vet, because it was over 2 hrs between the 2nd and 3rd pup, and she had ALOT of dark green discharge. I know it isn't bad to have the green discharge after the 1st pup, but there was so much, and so much time, that I got worried, and decided better safe than sorry. So we took Princess, and her two babies to the E.R. Vet, and she had the next pup in my hand walking thru the parking lot. We went into the vet, and got the baby cleaned up, the doctor, said they all looked good, and we headed back home. She had the last 3, within the next 1 hr. She has been in labor since 1 p.m., and it is now 11 p.m. It was a VERY long, stressful, emotional, and draining day, that couldn't have had a better ending.
I have been giving her plenty of water, and Nutri-cal, throughout, and she was not stressed, nor did she seem overly tired, or in any pain at all, she was mostly sleeping during the 2 hrs in between, and nursing and taking care of her babies, but she was contracting and pushing, so that is why we decided to seek the E.R. Vet. The last baby did come out as a dry birth, no sac at all, but they are all healthy and nursing as we speak.
