Sadie was 2 yrs old and my only furchild when I brought her new fursister, Lillie, home to live with us...NOT A GOOD IDEA! Sadie was very very sad and wasn't all that nice to Lillie. First thought that came to mind was "what did I do"? I wasn't about to give Lillie back. I would separate them when I wasn't home. I would NEVER leave them alone together unless I was home. My parents furbaby sat for me for the first year that I had Lillie. And if they had to leave, they would put Lillie in a crate ...I would say it took at LEAST 2 months before Sadie would even play with Lillie. Sadie is now 3 yrs old and Lillie is 2 yrs old...they are best buddies and will sleep together...Don't get me wrong...Sadie is still the alpha dog but, she does like her fursister now. If you decide to get another I would go with a female and just give it time.
