I love OLD country music best but since you did say "living"... My favorite contemporary female country artists are Reba, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, and Gretchen Wilson. Your husband may also like some duos or groups, so Sugarland (the girls name is Jennifer Nettles) and Little Big Town (I saw them in person and they were amazing!) and Trick Pony (Heidi Newfield their lead singer just put out a solo album!) are really great.
