Default Extremely Fearful new pup???

I just got a new yorkie girl shipped to me on Sunday, she is so cute but she is VERY timid!! The breeder had said that she was well socialized with humans but she doesn't look to be that way. I haven't been home yet (I had an emergency csection early sunday morning so wasn't able to even see her yet because she flew in sunday afternoon)

My husband said that she is fine to just lay around but when anyone (Mostly my husband) come to go lay by her and pet her or even pick her up to hold her she immediately runs at the sight of him coming. She'll hide under the furniture so that he can't get her. He's let her be for a few hours to see if she will warm up a little, he's given her treats which she will take if he is able to catch her. But she really just doesn't want anyone by her.

What do you all suggest? I have had my husband put her with just 1 of our mellow yorkies to see if she will warm up knowing there is other dogs in the house and she does do a little better with the other dogs around but still runs at the sight of anyone coming for her. but will kind of play around with the other dogs instead of just laying there.

How do I help her adjust to us? I never had this issue with my other pups, they were always giving kisses and jumping around playing from day 1. I am maybe wondering if she is just terrified of males and that maybe when I get home it will be easier for her to warm up. But seeing as the breeder was a male and I don't think he is married I am wondering if she was abused or neglected by him? I feel so sad for her and want her to know that she is safe with us and that all we want to do is give her princess treats and tons of loves!

Help!!
