I think that if you prefer another girl, get another girl.
Jake is my first yorkie, and I just totally fell in love with him and really didn't have a preference. When I decided to get another, I thought another boy would be good for Jake. Now I want a girl! lol
I have never had any problem with Jake and Jackson fighting. It took about a week or so before they really started to play together. It takes time for them to get used to each other in the beginning. Jake was very jealous, so I had to make sure I paid lots of attention to both, without either of them feeling left out. After awhile, Jake didn't seem jealous at all anymore....but, Jackson is! lol
There are lots and lots of people here who have two or more girls, and they usually become best of friends. My boys have lots of fun playing together and chasing each other. They are always doing something together and get along great. I have never regretted getting a second one.
I have to say that they are awesome companions. They are both huge mama's boys, so they are always with me. When I first got Jake, I became ill and had to have surgery. It was such a great thing for me to have Jake with me while I was recovering. I got Jackson last October and am currently off work due to illness. I am home alone all day, and it's so nice to have them with me. It's hard to be down or feel too bad because they are always making me smile and laugh with their antics, and they are so cuddly and loving!
