Honestly, if you are thinking of adding another pet as a playmate or companion for Lilly, I think another yorkie would be a better choice than a cat. I added a second yorkie, and they have so much fun playing together. My son's cat liked to play, but not with Jake. I guess it depends on the cat.

Just keep in mind that two yorkies means double vet bills, food, etc. If you are okay with all that, then you will love having two. They are also double the love and fun!

Good luck with your decision.

Wanting another Yorkie used to be something that I just dreamed of. I was only able to get Lilly because my boyfriend got a settlement for a wreck he was in and knew how much I wanted a Yorkie so he bought Lilly for me. We live in Kentucky and it's extremely hard to find a good paying steady job. For many months we barely made ends meet and then this job came along and it's extremely steady. It's hard being apart from him for so long but Lilly helps a lot and I think another would too. I also think another would keep Lilly entertained. Would I be better leaning towards a boy or a girl? I just wonder if I was to get another girl (which is what I'd prefer) if they would have more of a problem getting along being same sex. Thanks for your input, very helpful!
