Adding to the family, a go or a no? So, things are going great in our lives right now. We recently moved into a house in Canmer, Kentucky which is in Hart County about a 30 minute drive from Glasgow, Kentucky (where we used to live in our apartment). I haven't posted in forever but have replied to a few threads, we recently were finally able to afford getting the internet hooked up. Lilly has settled in nicely and loves the new place being that she has lots more area to wander and play in. It's obviously (as figured) her house, not ours as right now there are toys EVERYWHERE. Anyways, Rickey has recently started a new job (welding/millwright) but it's all travel. He's currently in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and Lilly and I are at home and have been since the 11th. We've been talking about the possibility of adding some more furbutts to our family. We're mainly focusing on getting a cat right now but not really sure how Lilly would adjust to it, any experiences, advice or opinions on this? Also, we're looking into getting another Yorkie in the future, as before any experiences, advice or opinions? She's never been around other cats but she has been around my grandmother's Maltese/Yorkie mix Bitsy and they seem to get along fine although Lilly did tire out before Bitsy would and would seem to get somewhat agitated when Bitsy kept wanting to play. We've never had any other animals in OUR house (HER territory) though, we've never really had a chance. I hate where we currently live and I have no friends or know anyone except my boyfriend's parents. I don't know if it's because I'm young or what but I really don't know ANYONE around here who owns a Yorkie or smaller pet so she hasn't been around any other dogs or animals besides my grandmother's. Thanks in advance for any input, I really will appreciate anything!
Sorry this is so long, btw. |
