The one thing that i am worried about is the fact that you want to dog to grow up with your son. i think you may want to wait till he is a little older. being only 2 years old he will miss out on the puppy hood fun of having a puppy. and will be about 14 or so when his dog dies. i think its a better idea to wait till hes a little older, can pick out his new best friend on his own, and can help take some of the responsibility of his new buddy.
