I just wondered if there is long term problems once they have had a hernia, as I put in an internet search for hernia's in Yorkshire Terriers and a few sites on Yorkies have come up with this info: This breed suffers few serious health problems. It does have dental issues such as retained baby teeth. This breed can also suffer from hernia or hypoglycemia.
Which I did not know and with all you Yorkie owners I wondered how many have had hernia problems?

I had two hernias in the same little two pup litter. They were what is called inquinal hernias meaning in the groin. I was sure it came from the mama and had her spayed. I sold those puppies about half what I usually sell mine for and by the time one of them left me, the hernia had grown up on it's on and the other one did shortly after the pup left.
