Once, I pulled up in the driveway to see a flier had been taped to my front door. I always go in the garage and we have a baby gate across that door to keep the girls in. I opened the front to get the flier and it fell to the ground. The whole time I was picking it up, I was "shooing" the girls back with my feet. I plopped down on the couch and started reading the flier and watching TV. About 5 min later, I heard scratching on the front door, IT WAS BABY CHLOE!!!! OMG she had slipped out without my even knowing. I dont know what she did for the approx. 5 min she was out, but we live near a very busy street and it is a miracle she wasnt killed or taken. Baby Chloe is such an airhead I cant believe she knew to scratch on our door. I felt so bad that I called my husband at work to confess. I was bawling and telling him about what a bad mother I was. I am glad you also had a happy ending. I thought I was being so careful, but I do a head count now any time the front door is ever open. I guess it is a blessing in disguise that makes us better Moms!!!
