No matter what breed of dog you purchase, consider yourself raising two children! Raising a pet properly is like raising a child. I personally, would opt for a larger full blooded yorkie. I'm all about the yorkies. I think that a chihuaua and yorkie mix would be a verry testy little baby. I don't see those temperments mixing well. Now, the potty training...you'll need to watch this little bugger all the time, and you will soon learn when he/she has to go piddle. You merely pick him up and put him outside. Soon he will learn to go to the door. The advice you've gotten is good. It will be quite sometime before your baby can control it's bladder. It's all up to you to teach him where to pee. I'm raising my Pookie (full blooded Yorkie) around a 2 year old granddaughter. They are getting along fine. BTW: Pookie is my first canine baby. (I don't call him a dog) Buy you a Yorkie book, see if it's really what you want to do. Good Luck!
