And if you would ever meet my son you would be amazed by how gentle he is with any animals or babies. Of course he will be supervised until the dog is older and I know he can trip over the dog or whatever but he has been around my dads jack russell puppies for almost 2 months now and I would not worry about him with them at all. He understands they are little and you have to be careful. |
you are right about the carpet.. especially if you have tile floors.. keep him on those... but dogs are not people, they need other dogs to be balanced...
get 2 puppies same age and energy level.. your son will love them both and will learn to be a pack leader.. have fun and get gates and a doggy door with a fenced in area to promote learning to go outside.. its a big responsibility ..two was easier than one for me..of course all my dogs are 5 lbs, so i dont have a tiny.. they are special needs and i would be afraid of injury..best wishes
