Don't beat yourself up about it!! One time when I had puppies, I went outside to water the plants, came back in about 5 minutes later and my momma dog had jumped up onto a chair and taken a plenty pack of gum out of my purse and took it back to her whelping box!! She and the pups proceeded to eat the whole pack, tin foil and all!! I couldn't believe it!! The vet said not to induce vomitting and to watch all of them and make sure they weren't lethargic. The next day they all had green gum poop!! And this was all in a matter of minutes with my purse up on a table!! They are little Houdinis!! |
