I think that is how they train their pot/drug smelling K9dogs too.

We have now advanced to two rooms away and he's having a ball
finding the treat. He understands now "Find IT" and takes off like
a bullet. It' so much fun to watch him. He really thinks he doing something
wonderful. LOL I think I"ll start using a toy instead and see how he does.
He knows his toys by their name so this should be interesting.
