I have run it threw with my dishes. It rinses on the rinse cycle so there
is no soap on it. I have been doing this for 3yrs so it's ok. I don't do it
often just once in awhile. ALways check for the condition of the bone.
Make sure nothing is splintered or cracked.
Plus, I have rinsed them under hot water in the sink and let they dry
standing up on the sink rack.
